Before a website is launched, it’s important to make sure everything is ready.
Homepage Build Checklist
- Yoast SEO
- Header tags (use Detailed SEO Chrome extension to check)
- SEO Best Practices
- 404 page
- Thank You page
- Test emails, make sure ALL forms have the CORRECT recipients and are going to a Thank You page.
- Correct links and link destinations
Full Site Build Checklist
- Run through all Homepage Build Checklist items again.
- Mobile / Tablet optimization
- Optimization for large screens
- Check all buttons/links
- Test emails, make sure ALL forms have the CORRECT recipients and are going to a Thank You page.
- Make sure old page links redirect properly to the new page links by using the Redirection Plugin.

- Check both options (Monitor Permalink Changes & Keep a Log) when setting up.
Pre-Launch Checklist
- Run through all Homepage Build Checklist and "Full Site Build Checklist" items again.
- Uncheck search engine visibility under Settings > Reading
- Test emails, make sure ALL forms have the CORRECT recipients and are going to a Thank You page.
- Backup site
- Update plug-ins
- Run optimizations via WP-Optimize
