How to Prep WordPress
After cloning a website, there are several elements that need to be updated, removed or cleaned up before ever going live. It’s critical that there are NO traces of the source website prior to launch. Below are some important areas to pay close attention to when scrubbing old information.

Step 4 – Update Yoast SEO
- Confirm site details are correct under Yoast SEO > Settings > Site Representation and Site Basics
- Ensure all Yoast SEO settings are cleared and updated for EACH page. This can be found under Pages > Page > Edit with Elementor > Page Settings

- Social Appearance (Both Facebook and X)
- Confirm that search engine visibility under Settings > Reading is checked to ensure the site doesn't show up in search results.

- In the Mailer section, the SendGrid box should be checked.
- Insert API Key, if necessary (Copy API Key)
- Set the Sending Domain to gromarketing.site. If preparing from a live domain, use the live domain – Ex. sightlink.com)
