Onboarding Information
We are thrilled to have you join our team. At GRO, we believe in streamlined processes and efficient communication to ensure a smooth transition for our new members. This page will guide you through setting up and navigating three essential platforms so you can hit the ground running and start contributing right away.
Operating Spaces
Welcome to the Creative Team at GRO!
- The Tuscaloosa team usually arrives at the office around 8-8:15 am. Please notify your supervisor if you are running late and will be in the office late. Communication is key.
- The team is in the office on Tuesday and Wednesday. Two days in the office are required. If you need to switch days, please let your supervisor know.
- If you have any questions about Lyons HR, contact GRO's Business Operations Manager, Jessica, at [email protected].
- Creative team meetings occur every other week over Google Meet. This is our time to regroup and ask any questions we have about current or upcoming projects.
Project Management
- Monday is the project management platform we use. This is where you will be able to view all of your tasks as well as your teammate's tasks.
- As a member of the Creative Team, you will utilize the Creative Requests board the most.
- Notify your supervisor about any same-day turnarounds you receive.
If everything was done correctly in the steps above, there should be no outward-facing changes or redirection from the current website, as the primary A record hasn’t yet been pointed to GRO’s IP address. Once the new nameservers take effect, there will be a banner in Cloudflare saying “Great news! Cloudflare is now protecting your site.”
Communication
- Slack is where the GRO team communicates with each other. If you ever have a quick question for your teammate or account manager, this is the place to ask it.
- Everyone in the company should be available on Slack from the hours of 8a-5p CST. Generally speaking, Slack should be open (greenlight) and you should be able to respond to someone's message within 10 minutes - aside from lunchtime or appointments.
- It is extremely important the majority of project decisions and updates are noted in Monday even if they are discussed in Slack. We must keep a paper trail on tasks.
Project Tracking
- All projects need to be tracked via the Toggl app or website.
- By keeping a clear record of time spent, we can provide transparency and better manage project timelines and budgets.
